Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad
- Upon arrival, assist and transfer to the Hotel.
- Evening sightseeing tour of Islamabad city.
- Visit Faisal Mosque, Saidpur village, Lok Virsa, Margalla Hills (trail 3/trail 5 hike), and Malpur village.
- Overnight at the Hotel Islamabad.
Day 2: Islamabad - Taxila
- Full-day city tour of Taxila, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi.
- Visit archaeological sites and remains of Gandhara civilization in Taxila.
- Explore Buddhist imagery and sculptures depicting important stages of Buddha's life.
- Overnight at the Hotel Islamabad.
- Flight to Gilgit Baltistan Skardu (subject to weather).
- Enjoy scenic views of mountains like Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi, Diran, Golden Peak, Ultar, Passu Peak, Domain, and Trichmir.
- Travel along the Karakoram Highway, experiencing breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.
- Upon arrival, transfer to Shigar Fort and visit the fort and surroundings.
- Evening is free for optional hike to Khorpocho Fort or visit to Organic village.
- Drive through the Indus River valley and arrive at the green and fertile Shigar Valley.
- Visit the old mosque and fruit farms in Shigar.
- Overnight at Shiger Fort Serena Hotel.
Day 4: Heli-copter Safari and Nanga Parbat (Optional)
- Morning departure for Helipad at Army camp for Heli-copter safari (subject to weather).
- Fly over 5000 meter high mountains in Karakorum and Himalaya regions.
- Experience aerial views of glaciers, meadows, Baltoro River, K-2 (2nd highest mountain), Payu Peak, Trango Tower, Mushaq Tower, Miter Peak, Concordia, Gashabrum 4, Broad Peak, K2, G1, G2, Mashabrum Peak.
- Land at Skardu airport via Thala La.
- Optional evening flight to Nanga Parbat (killer mountain) with approximately double the flight time of K-2 trip.
- Dinner at Shangri-La Resort for guests.
- Evening return to Serena Shiger Fort.
Day 5: Khewra Salt Mines and Lahore
- Early morning flight to Islamabad (subject to time availability).
- Full-day trip to Khewra Salt Mines and Ketas Hindu Temples.
- Explore Khewra, Pakistan's largest and oldest salt mine, dating back to Alexander's time.
- Visit Ketas Temples, said to be created from Shiva's tears and mentioned in the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
- Evening check-in to Serena Islamabad.
Day 6: Fly back to Home Destination
